Asim Prakash is a commerce Graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. He is heading Direct Taxation wing at ALP & Associates a CA firm in Kolkata.
He is a regular speaker on the topics related to Direct Taxes on several forums. He is faculty for CA students in ICAI and also visits Government Department such as Income Tax Department as trainer of various topics. He also participates in the activities of Direct Tax Committee of ICAI and has contributed towards publications of the committee.
He has bagged an exotic experience from Infosys as Direct Tax Consultant for none other than Income Tax Department of India. He has worked as Tax consultant for more than 2 years for the largest e-governance project of India i.e. Centralized Processing Center of Income Tax Department of India located at Bangalore.
He has represented Infosys before the client on several forums. He has assisted Ministry of Finance and CBDT on Income Tax Return Form changes for AY 2013-14 and AY 2014-15. He has laid down the processing rules of ITR 7 of AY 2013-14 and Wealth Tax Return (Form BB) of AY 2014- 15,
which were filed online for the first time in the history of India. He was awarded with prestigious “Gladiator Award” for his outstanding contribution to CPC by Infosys.
